The Heart of Florida Campus is strategically located on the SE corner of CR 318 and I-75 (with approximately 1.5 miles of frontage along I-75). The property is centrally located between Ocala (12 miles to the south) and Gainesville (16 miles to the north). Gainesville is home to the University of Florida, which is a key component to the advancement of industry in the area; particularly, the Technology, Biotech, and Research and Development industries. The location of the site will cause it to benefit from its proximity to the University of Florida while serving all of Central Florida. Ultimately, the Heart of Florida Campus will be ideal for those corporations in search of a campus setting where their employees can live, work, and interact with others in their industry, creating both business and lifestyle synergies.

The Heart of Florida Campus is a planned 453-acre Regional Activity Center (“RAC”) which will consist of:

  • 1,500,000 to 2,000,000 SF of Park or Commerce/Office space
  • 100,000 SF of Neighborhood Commercial space
  • A 200-400 room Hotel & Conference Center
  • Nearly 1,000 Residences (460 single-family, 160 townhomes, and 360 apartments)
